Karachi: Nazir Cotton Mills Ltd. has undergone a significant change in its board composition, as announced today. Effective July 27, 2024, the company has seen the departure of several directors and the appointment of new ones, signaling a shift in its leadership structure.
The departing directors include Mian Aamir Naseem, Mr. Maqbool Hussain Bhutta, Mr. Muhammad Abbas, Mr. Asim Mahmood Bhatti, and Mr. Muhammad Irfan, who have all ceased their roles with the company. In their place, Nazir Cotton Mills has appointed Mr. Mujahid Ahmad and Mr. Aftab Anwar as independent directors, along with Col. Abdul Qayyum, Mr. Tariq Javaid, and Miss Batool Zahra as directors.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this change reflects a broader strategy possibly aimed at rejuvenating the company’s governance and strategic direction. These appointments come at a time when the company is navigating through competitive and operational challenges in the textile industry.
The changes have been communicated to the TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange, ensuring transparency and compliance with market regulations.
