NDMA and Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan Strengthen Partnership on Disaster Risk Reduction

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan (AKAHP) have formalized their collaboration with the signing of a Letter of Understanding aimed at enhancing disaster risk reduction (DRR) efforts across Pakistan.

According to National Disaster Management Authority, the agreement, signed at NDMA’s headquarters, focuses on exchanging information for multi-hazard vulnerability assessments, joint disaster risk management projects, and advocacy for DRR and climate change initiatives. Both organizations aim to pool resources and improve resilience in local communities through habitat policy development, capacity building, and the exchange of crucial risk information.
