National Assembly Speaker Champions Legislative Support Through PIPS

Islamabad: In the first meeting of the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS) Board of Governors, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the institute’s critical role in supporting parliamentarians with effective and research-oriented legislation.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq stressed the importance of cooperation between national and provincial legislative bodies and directed a third-party financial and performance audit of PIPS to enhance transparency and efficacy. The meeting also considered proposals for including the Speakers of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Assemblies as permanent members of the PIPS Governing Board, aiming to strengthen legislative collaboration across the country.
