NDMA and KSrelief Launch Relief Convoy for Flood-Hit Gwadar

Islamabad, In a significant operation to aid the flood victims of Gwadar, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in partnership with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Pakistan, dispatched a substantial emergency relief convoy from Islamabad today.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the convoy, comprising five containers filled with essential supplies, including 9,000 food packages and 9,000 shelters totaling 875 tonnes, is destined for the areas of Gwadar affected by recent rains. The initiative was set in motion with a ceremony at the Jinnah Stadium, Sports Complex, Islamabad, attended by dignitaries such as the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, and the Saudi Ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliky. The effort underscores a collaborative response involving coordination between NDMA and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Balochistan to ensure the aid reaches those in need without hindrance. The distribution process, to be handled by PDMA Balochistan and local administrators, aims at a fair allocation of the relief materials to the affected communities in Gwadar.
