NDMA Dispatches Relief Convoy to Flood-Stricken Regions in Punjab

Islamabad: On the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) continues to provide support for relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas.

According to Radio Pakistan, NDMA has supplied 500 ration bags each to the flood-hit regions of Sialkot and Narowal. Each ration bag weighs forty-six kilograms and contains twenty-two essential items. The relief supplies are set to be distributed through the respective district administrations.

NDMA has dispatched a convoy of eight trucks carrying relief goods specifically for Sialkot and Narowal. Plans are underway for the dispatch of relief trucks to Wazirabad, Hafizabad, Chiniot, and Jhang in the coming days. The authority intends to deliver five hundred ration packs in Wazirabad and Hafizabad, one thousand in Chiniot, and twelve hundred in Jhang.

In total, NDMA aims to send 4,200 ration bags to disaster-affected areas in Punjab. These relief ration packs have been specially prepared to meet the immediate needs of families affected by the flooding, including basic food items and other essentials.
