NUTECH Hosts Welcoming Event for Afghan Students

Islamabad: The National University of Technology (NUTECH) held a welcoming event for Afghan students at its campus, attended by prominent figures including Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and Mr. Asif Durrani, Special Representative of the Prime Minister for Afghanistan. The gathering aimed to integrate Afghan students into the university’s academic and social fabric.

According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the event brought together students from Afghanistan who are currently enrolled in the zero semester at NUTECH and Fast University. This semester serves as a refresher course on basic subjects and offers a platform for the students to engage with the university community and explore various academic and extracurricular opportunities.

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed expressed his enthusiasm about the inclusion of Afghan students in Pakistani universities, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in creating a vibrant and inclusive academic environment. Mr. Asif Durrani echoed these sentiments, noting the significant role that educational exchanges play in strengthening the cultural and educational ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
