Pakistan and Belarus Commit to Enhanced Trade and Economic Ties

Astana: Pakistan and Belarus have resolved to deepen their economic and trade relations in a significant bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Astana today.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between the two leaders covered a broad spectrum of issues, including enhancing the political relationship, expanding trade and investment opportunities, boosting military cooperation, and addressing regional challenges. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s strategy for economic revival, which focuses on export-led growth, strengthening public finances, and attracting investments from allied nations.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss global and regional developments and assess the progress of their collaborative efforts under the SCO framework. This meeting underscores a mutual commitment to leveraging their partnership for significant economic and strategic gains.
