Islamabad: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, engaged in discussions with Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science, Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, focusing on enhancing educational cooperation between the two nations.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, the meeting, held on January 13, 2025, included participation from key officials, such as the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, Avazbek Atakhanov, and senior officials from both countries. The discussions centered on exchanging expertise in vocational and technical training, alongside advancing digital solutions for education.
Minister Siddiqui emphasized the importance of bilateral ties, highlighting cultural and linguistic connections between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. He pointed out the potential for collaboration in technology, education, and research, stressing the value of platforms like E-Taleem and Teleschool for digital education.
Ms. Kendirbaeva expressed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in university and technical institution partnerships, sharing insights on a successful digital learning platform in Kyrgyzstan. Both countries aim to leverage each other’s experiences to further develop digital education initiatives.
The dialogue underscored the significance of international conferences, such as the one on girls’ education, as venues for Islamic countries to strengthen ties and explore collaborative opportunities in education and beyond.
