Pakistan and Tajikistan Prime Ministers Commit to Strengthening Bilateral and Regional Cooperation

Dushanbe: Today, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with his Tajik counterpart, H.E. Qohir Rasulzoda, to discuss the expanding bilateral relations and strategic partnerships, including the recent signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement.

According to Press Information Department, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the growth of bilateral cooperation across various fields and discussed the potential for further economic opportunities stemming from the agreement. Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the importance of regional connectivity and integration as crucial for the socio-economic development of Central Asia. He proposed hosting a regional connectivity summit to establish trade corridors and enhance regional trade. Additionally, the meeting covered the recent initiation of international flights between the two countries, with an emphasis on increasing these services to foster closer social and cultural ties.
