Pakistan and Turkiye Reaffirm Shared Vision for Regional Development and Peace

Islamabad, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today, discussing the deep-rooted ties and shared vision for development, peace, and prosperity between Pakistan and Turkiye.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting emphasized the strengthening of bilateral trade and the importance of Turkish investment in Pakistan. Chairman Gilani thanked Turkiye for its consistent support on international issues, especially regarding Jammu and Kashmir.

Both leaders condemned recent violence in Gaza and advocated for collaborative efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East and Palestine. The Turkish Foreign Minister confirmed his country’s intent to elevate the partnership with Pakistan through increased parliamentary exchanges and enhanced people-to-people contact.
