Pakistan and U.S. Strengthen Future Relations, Ambassador Discusses Strategic Ties with China

Islamabad, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, in a recent interview with China Global Television Network-America on the program ‘The Heat,’ discussed the evolving and confident future relations between Pakistan and the United States, emphasizing ongoing dialogues aimed at promoting mutual benefits.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Khan highlighted the countries’ efforts to navigate the geostrategic complexities of the region to forge a robust, stand-alone relationship. He noted the productive nature of Pakistan’s relations with both the United States and China, stating that the strategic partnership with China, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), does not detract from Pakistan’s friendship with the United States.

The ambassador underscored the significance of the CPEC as the flagship project of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, expressing a reputational commitment to its success. He also looked ahead to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s forthcoming visit to China, which aims to further strengthen defense ties, deepen economic cooperation, and enhance cultural exchanges between the two nations.
