Pakistan Calls on India to End Extrajudicial Killings in Kashmir

Islamabad: The Pakistani government has once again urged India to halt its alleged extrajudicial killings and the use of lethal force in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination, in line with UN resolutions. The call comes as Pakistan prepares to observe the 93rd ‘Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Kashmir’ on July 13, commemorating the 1931 martyrs who faced the Dogra forces’ firing in Srinagar.

The spokesperson drew parallels between historical and current atrocities, condemning recent actions by Indian forces that have resulted in numerous Kashmiri casualties, including the iconic youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani, whose martyrdom anniversary was recently marked. Baloch also condemned recent Israeli attacks on schools in Gaza, describing them as part of a genocidal campaign and calling for international action against Israel for violations of humanitarian law.
