Pakistan Condemns Israeli Attack on Rafah Refugee Camp

Islamabad, Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Israeli attack on a refugee camp in Rafah, Gaza Strip, which resulted in significant casualties among the displaced population. The attack is seen as a severe violation of international humanitarian law and defiance of recent provisional measures by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Israeli forces’ actions are a clear violation of the additional provisional measures issued by the ICJ on May 24, 2024, which demanded an immediate halt to military operations in Rafah. The Ministry emphasized that this breach highlights Israel’s ongoing disregard for international norms and humanitarian standards. Pakistan has called for the immediate enforcement of the ICJ’s orders and urged the UN Security Council to intervene to prevent further violence against civilians in Gaza and hold the Israeli forces accountable for their actions.
