Pakistan Education Endowment Fund Approves Rs. 1 Billion Annual Budget

Islamabad, The Board of Directors of the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF), chaired by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, convened today to finalize and approve the fund’s annual budget and strategic initiatives.

According to Press Information Department, Dr. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of fully utilizing the fund to support underdeveloped districts across the nation, with a particular focus on the slums of Karachi. The board approved an annual budget of approximately Rs. 1 billion and announced plans to hire a full-time CEO to enhance the organization’s effectiveness. Additionally, a comprehensive Human Resource policy is set to be implemented to ensure the recruitment of competent staff, aiming to maximize the fund’s impact. Dr. Siddiqui expressed hope that PEEF would play a pivotal role in enabling lower socioeconomic groups to access education, thereby ensuring that deserving students from all provinces receive scholarships regardless of their background.
