Pakistan Embassy in Beijing Hosts Forum to Build Bridges Between Academia and Industry

Beijing, The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing hosted the “Pakistan Professionals and Students Forum” with a focus on building bridges between academia and industry. The event brought together high-ranking government officials, private sector representatives, academic members, and a large number of Pakistani professionals and students residing in China. The forum’s theme was “Building Bridges between Academia and Industry,” emphasizing the importance of fostering collaboration for national development and prosperity.

According to Press Information Department, the forum featured a pre-recorded message from Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, where he highlighted the importance of bridging academia and industry. The Federal Minister commended the Pakistan Embassy for creating a platform for Pakistani students and professionals to interact, share ideas, and explore emerging opportunities in the industry.

The event also included messages from Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Mr. Moin-ul-Haque, former Ambassador of Pakistan to China, and Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. In his welcome address, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi acknowledged the Pakistani community’s role in solidifying the ‘all-weather strategic cooperative partnership’ between China and Pakistan. He outlined his vision to transform the forum into a permanent annual event with active participation from the Pakistani community.

Panel discussions at the forum highlighted industry trends and discussed opportunities arising from China’s focus on new quality productive forces. Speakers emphasized the need to strengthen the knowledge corridor between China and Pakistan to foster a stronger community and a shared future between the two countries.

Representatives of the Pakistan Professional and Students Forum expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Embassy for hosting the event, recognizing it as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and building a strong sense of community among Pakistanis in China.
