Pakistan Emphasizes Strategic Push into Space Technology, Plans New 50 Billion Rupee Space Center by 2027

Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal underscored the necessity for Pakistan to embark on a journey into space technology, marking a pivotal shift towards utilizing this domain across various sectors such as agriculture, transport, industry, education, health, and disaster management. Speaking at a ceremony today, he highlighted space technology’s critical role in future development initiatives.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the minister detailed plans to expedite the completion of the country’s space center, projected to cost 50 billion rupees and slated for completion by 2027. He stressed the center’s potential to significantly enhance technological capacities and support national development across essential sectors.
