Pakistan Focuses on Enhancing Hajj Facilities for Pilgrims

Islamabad, In a concerted effort to improve the Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims, the Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Zulfiquar Haider, chaired a Zoom meeting focused on the operational aspects of the upcoming Hajj. The meeting included detailed updates from Director General Hajj, Abdul Wahab Soomro, who joined from Makkah.

According to Press Information Department, Secretary Haider emphasized the importance of providing top-notch facilities for pilgrims, underlining the necessity of gathering feedback and opinions to ensure their comfort and safety. He stressed a zero-tolerance policy towards any negligence in services provided to the pilgrims. During the meeting, it was disclosed that arrangements have been made with three tawafa companies to assist pilgrims in Mina and Arafat and that all government scheme pilgrims will be accommodated in specific areas of Makkah and Madinah.

The briefing further covered the provisions for medical services available through two hospitals and multiple dispensaries in the holy cities. It was also confirmed that accommodations, food, and travel logistics for the pilgrims have been finalized to ensure a smooth and spiritually rewarding Hajj experience.
