Pakistan Government Aims to Boost IT Sector and Youth Empowerment

Lahore, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, emphasized the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through substantial investments in the IT sector. Speaking at the launch of the Arfa Karim Fellowship Programme today, Khan outlined initiatives aimed at elevating the national IT industry from its current $2.5 billion to an ambitious target of $25 billion.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his interaction with the media in Lahore, Khan detailed the government’s strategy under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program. This strategy includes launching various programs tailored to enhance the skills and opportunities available to young people in the province, particularly within the burgeoning IT sector.

Khan expressed the government’s intention to provide all possible opportunities for youth to engage and prosper in the IT industry, positioning them as central to Pakistan’s economic growth and technological advancement.
