Pakistan and Sri Lanka Aim to Boost Cooperation in Tourism and Cultural Ties

Lahore, In a significant move towards strengthening international relationships, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have agreed to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector, focusing particularly on religious tourism. This commitment was voiced during discussions between Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and a visiting delegation from Sri Lanka, led by their Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs, Vidura Wickramanayaka.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting in Lahore today centered on the mutual benefits of bolstering cultural and economic ties through enhanced tourism initiatives. Governor Khan emphasized the importance of this collaboration, which aims to leverage the rich cultural heritage and religious significance of both nations to boost tourism.

The discussions highlighted potential areas for collaboration and development, aiming to attract more tourists to both countries by promoting their religious sites and cultural landmarks.
