Fire Engulfs Vehicles at Public Health Engineering Facility in Kathua

Jammu, A significant fire erupted at a Public Health Engineering (PHE) filling store in Parliwand, Kathua district, resulting in extensive damage to several vehicles. The blaze rapidly spread through the facility, highlighting the vulnerabilities associated with the storage and maintenance of essential service equipment.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the fire involved nine tankers and a truck that were parked at the facility. The cause of the fire remains unclear, but it swiftly consumed the vehicles stationed at the filling station. PHE officials, upon learning of the incident, immediately contacted the fire brigade, which responded promptly.

Two fire tenders were deployed to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire after considerable effort. The incident underscores the need for stringent safety measures and regular inspections at such facilities to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
