Pakistan Minister Praises China’s Role in National Development, Highlights Gwadar’s Progress

Islamabad, Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal recently lauded China’s significant contributions to Pakistan’s development, particularly through projects in Gwadar under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). In a discussion with Chinese news agency Xinhua, Iqbal highlighted transformative developments in Gwadar, which he anticipates will become a world-class port city offering extensive opportunities.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Iqbal appreciated various initiatives by China aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and quality of life in Gwadar. These include the establishment of a modern hospital and a technical training institution, which are part of broader efforts to uplift the region. Additionally, China’s provision of solar panels and scholarships for Gwadar’s youth to study in Chinese universities were noted as key elements of the bilateral cooperation aimed at fostering sustainable growth and education in the region.

Iqbal’s remarks underscore the deepening ties between Pakistan and China, focusing on mutual benefits and regional development through strategic collaborations like CPEC.
