Pakistan Navy Commissions New Patrol Vessel PNS Hunain in Romania

Constanta: In a significant enhancement to its maritime capabilities, the Pakistan Navy has officially commissioned the Offshore Patrol Vessel PNS Hunain during a ceremony at Constanta Port in Romania.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event was attended by Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, who served as the chief guest. Distinguished figures including Chief of Defense Staff General Gheorghita Vlad and Romanian Navy Chief Vice Admiral Mihai Panait also participated, underscoring the ceremony’s importance.

During his address, Admiral Ashraf discussed the strategic advantages conferred by the PNS Hunain, noting its role in bolstering Pakistan Navy’s operational readiness and presence in Regional Maritime Security Patrols across the Indian Ocean Region. The vessel is described as a multi-purpose, ultra-fast warship, outfitted with comprehensive defense systems and advanced capabilities for electronic, anti-ship, and anti-air warfare.
