Pakistan, Qatar to Expand Partnership in Environmental Sustainability and Green Investments

Islamabad: Pakistan and Qatar have reached an agreement to broaden their partnership, focusing on environmental sustainability and green investments. This development emerged from a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, and Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two officials explored new collaboration avenues in anticipation of the upcoming global climate talks in Geneva. Dr. Musadik Malik emphasized the importance of ensuring that global environmental agreements cater to the access, affordability, and sustainability concerns of developing nations.

Ambassador Al-Khater expressed a keen interest in expanding cooperation beyond climate action to include trade and investment. Both parties are committed to enhancing their partnership in these critical areas as they prepare for the significant discussions in Geneva next week.
