Pakistan Reaffirms Solidarity with Palestine, Condemns Israeli Actions in Gaza


Islamabad, In a significant diplomatic engagement, Amb. Ahmed Jawad A.A. Rabei, the Palestinian Ambassador, met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister, reiterating the strong ties and mutual support between the two nations, especially in light of recent conflicts in Gaza.



According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister, along with Foreign Minister Sen. Muhammad Ishaq Dar and other officials, expressed profound gratitude for Palestinian President Dr. Mahmoud Abbas’s congratulatory message on his re-election and emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine at various international forums. The Prime Minister condemned the severe Israeli military actions in Gaza since October 2023, highlighting the tragic loss of life and calling for an immediate cessation of what he termed a genocidal war against Palestinians.



He referred to the interim ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the matter, noting Pakistan’s vocal support for Palestine in the international legal arena, and voiced disappointment over Israel’s disregard for UN Security Council Resolution 2728. The Prime Minister assured continued advocacy for Palestine’s cause globally and mentioned Pakistan’s humanitarian aid to Gaza, with plans for further support post-Eid.



The Palestinian Ambassador acknowledged Pakistan’s solidarity, underscoring its importance for the Palestinian people during these challenging times.
