Islamabad, In a decisive move to combat criminal activities, the Federal Interior Ministry has announced a joint operation to clear the Kacha area of Sindh province of dacoits. The operation was greenlit during a high-level meeting of the National Action Plan Implementation Review Committee chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting convened to address various security concerns, including the escalation of dacoity in the Kacha area, known for its challenging terrain and as a hideout for criminal elements. The committee resolved to deploy a robust force to ensure the area is purged of criminal activities effectively.
Additionally, the meeting focused on enhancing the capabilities of police forces nationwide through the integration of modern technology. This initiative aims to bolster the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies across Pakistan in maintaining law and order.
Security measures for the protection of foreign nationals, particularly Chinese citizens, were also meticulously reviewed during the session. The committee decided to tighten regulations around tourist movements, particularly for those failing to adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the importance of strict compliance with these SOPs, stating that any negligence in the protection of foreign nationals would be met with severe disciplinary action. This statement underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of international visitors and residents alike.
