Pakistan and Turkey Pledge to Enhance Defense Collaboration

Islamabad, In a significant diplomatic meeting today, General Metin Gurak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, met with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence and Defence Production, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, to discuss and reinforce the defense ties between Turkey and Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the Defense Minister warmly welcomed the Turkish defense delegation, highlighting the robust nature of bilateral defense relations. Minister Asif praised Turkey’s efforts in managing the crisis and alleviating suffering in Gaza. In return, General Gurak lauded Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and stability and its armed forces’ role in counter-terrorism efforts.

The meeting underscored the strong relationship between the armed forces of the two countries and both sides expressed a commitment to further enhance their defense collaboration. This dialogue reflects the ongoing strategic partnership aimed at bolstering security and defense mechanisms in response to regional challenges.
