Pakistan to Maintain Stable Urea Prices, Introduces Toll-Free Complaint Line

Islamabad, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain announced that Pakistan has sufficient urea fertilizer stocks for the upcoming Kharif season. During a meeting, he highlighted the introduction of toll-free numbers for addressing consumer complaints about urea price increases and confirmed the implementation of a unified pricing mechanism starting from the Rabi season to ensure uniform retail prices nationwide.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rana Tanveer directed the provincial governments and fertilizer companies to closely monitor urea prices. He emphasized the importance of maintaining uniformity in pricing across all regions to prevent disparities. Additionally, the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority has been tasked with inspecting the quality of value-added urea products produced by fertilizer companies.

Representatives from various fertilizer companies have assured that all manufacturing units will operate at full capacity to fulfill the domestic demand for urea, ensuring that the agricultural sector has adequate resources for a successful cropping season.
