Pakistan’s Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Convenes for Shawwal Moon Sighting

Islamabad, The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to meet today in Islamabad to observe the Shawwal moon, marking the potential end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting, led by Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, will coordinate with zonal committees across the country to confirm the sighting of the moon. These zonal committees are scheduled to gather simultaneously in their respective provincial capitals to ensure comprehensive observation efforts.

The outcome of these meetings will determine the official commencement of Shawwal and the Eid celebrations across Pakistan, integrating traditional lunar observations with religious practices.
