Pakistani Senators Commit to Parliamentary Standards in Meeting with CPA Secretary General in London

Islamabad: A delegation of Pakistani senators met with Stephen Twigg, Secretary General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), in London, where they committed to upholding parliamentary norms and working towards enhancing dialogue on global issues through solid parliamentary practices.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting included Senators Agha Shahzaib Durrani, Faisal Saleem, and Ashraf Ali Jatoi, who discussed several topics with Twigg, such as the unfilled positions on the CPA’s executive committee, challenges in Pakistani politics, and the critical role of international dialogue in resolving global issues. The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening the ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, with the CPA Secretary General expressing his interest in visiting Pakistan to further bolster this international partnership.
