According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Khan, during his two-day maiden visit to North Carolina, spoke to scholars, intellectuals, and opinion-makers about the deep-rooted values-based relationship between Pakistan and the United States. He detailed the collaborative efforts in counter-terrorism and economic sectors, including technology where U.S. venture capitalists are actively investing in Pakistani startups. The Ambassador also mentioned Pakistan’s role in facilitating the safe evacuation of U.S. troops and Afghan citizens post-U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, highlighting the ongoing visa processing support for Afghans.
Ambassador Khan envisioned Pakistan as an emerging tech hub in the region, citing rapid advancements in the tech industry and ongoing profitable ventures by approximately 80 U.S. companies, most of which are Fortune 500.
