Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister to Address Israeli Aggression at OIC Meeting in Jeddah

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar is set to attend an extraordinary meeting of the OIC Executive Committee in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on August 7, 2024. The meeting, requested by the State of Palestine and the Islamic Republic of Iran, will focus on the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine and other regional states.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan, a vocal supporter of the Palestinian cause, continues to leverage international platforms like the OIC to express its concerns and advocate for peace. At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will outline Pakistan’s grave concerns regarding the situation in Gaza and the broader Middle East, stressing the need for urgent peace and relief efforts for the people of Gaza.

In addition to the committee meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will engage in bilateral discussions with his counterparts from other OIC member states, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties and collaborate on mutual concerns.
