Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs Addresses International Conference on Religious Leaders in Kuala Lumpur

Islamabad, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, recently participated in the International Conference on Religious Leaders 2024 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he emphasized Islam’s core values of peace, compassion, tolerance, and coexistence.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Hussain, in his address, underscored the importance of the teachings of Islam in promoting the well-being of individuals and communities, and the pursuit of knowledge. He also highlighted the challenges of Islamophobia faced by the Muslim Ummah and called for stronger international linkages and collaboration to address this issue effectively. Alongside the conference, Minister Hussain engaged in bilateral talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, reaffirming the commitment to deepen the already strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia for mutual benefit.

Furthermore, Minister Hussain met with Senator Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im, Minister in Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs, and Mr. Abdul Rashid Hussain, Chairman of Malaysia’s Hajj Directorate, to discuss matters of mutual interest related to religious affairs. An invitation was extended to Mr. Abdul Rashid Hussain to visit Pakistan, which he accepted, signifying ongoing diplomatic and religious collaboration between the two nations.
