PM decides to observe CPEC celebrations with simplicity in wake of Bajaur blast

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to observe the ten-year celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor with simplicity due to the mourning in the wake of the terrorist incident in Bajaur.

In a statement today, it was said that the cultural show, scheduled to mark the celebrations, has also been cancelled on Prime Minister’s directions. A cultural show had to be organized on the arrival of Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.

Shehbaz Sharif instructed that the entire nation is in the state of mourning; hence, the cultural show should not be held.

It is pertinent to mention that 44 people were martyred and 200 others injured in a terrorist incident in the workers’ convention of JUI-F in Khar area of district Bajaur yesterday.
