PTI chief making lame excuses to avoid court hearings in Toshakhana case: Atta Tarar

Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Attaullah Tarar says PTI chief is making lame excuses to avoid court hearings in the Toshakhana case.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad today, he said when a case is in trial court, no appeal can be made to higher courts nor can they be sought to intervene.

He said it is ridiculous that PTI chairman is repeatedly seeking intervention of higher courts when the case is in trial court and no order has yet been issued by it.

Attaullah Tarar said throughout the proceedings of this case, the PTI chief played on technicalities to delay the case.

He said had the PTI chief been innocent, he would have fought this important case on merit.
