Posters in IIOJK term 19 July 1947 as important day in Kashmir’s history

Srinagar, July 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): Posters appeared in Srinagar and other parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir saying that 19th July is of special significance and an important day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. The posters read the message that by passing the resolution of Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan on July 19 in 1947, the Kashmiri leaders had attached the future of Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan. The posters were displayed by Nawjawanan-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, Political Resistance Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Justice League Forum, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Forum, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Resistance Party, Wareseen-e-Shuhada and several other pro-freedom organizations in different areas of the Kashmir Valley.

The posters maintained that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and the day will come soon when Jammu and Kashmir will be a part of Pakistan. They urged the international community to force India to hold a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir to allow the Kashmiris to decide their fate by themselves as per the UN resolutions.
