President Asif Ali Zardari donates blood

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari today donated blood here at Naudero House on the 58th birthday celebrations of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

President’s daughter Ms. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and other Party leaders were present during blood donation accompanied by a large number of Party workers.

This donation is a part of a country wide blood donation campaign which is undertaken on 21st day of June of every year to collect blood for defence forces and law enforcing personnel engaged in fighting against the militants. .

The President in his message on 58th birthday anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto urged Party workers to donate blood to pay homage to the blood that she shed in fighting terrorism and all those who are valiantly fighting against militants

Spokesperson to the President Mr. Farhatullah Babar said that every year a large number of blood donation camps are set up across the country and PPP workers donate blood as to recognize and pay tributes to those fighting militancy. Last year, in Punjab alone more than 80 camps were set up, he said.
