President Asif Ali Zardari to Deliver Record Seventh Address to Parliament Today

Islamabad, Today, President Asif Ali Zardari is set to address a joint sitting of the National Assembly and Senate, marking his record seventh speech to this assembly. The joint session is scheduled to convene at 4:00 PM, in line with the constitutional requirement that the President address Parliament at the start of each parliamentary year.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this event marks a significant moment as it is President Zardari’s seventh address during his tenure. He previously addressed the Parliament six times between 2008 and 2013. His frequent addresses during his presidency are noted as a record in the country’s legislative history.

The address is in compliance with Article 56 (3) of the Constitution, which mandates the President’s speech at the beginning of the parliamentary year to outline the government’s agenda and reinforce the executive’s accountability to the legislative branch.
