President Zardari Calls for Joint Session of Parliament in Islamabad

Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari has convened a joint session of Parliament, scheduled for Thursday at 4:00 PM.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the session is convened under Articles 54 (1) and 56 (3) of the Constitution. This new scheduling supersedes a previous notification that had set the joint session for Tuesday, which now stands cancelled. The purpose of the re-scheduled meeting and the agenda topics to be discussed are yet to be detailed by the officials.
