Prime Minister Approves Up-Gradation of the Posts of Teachers, Under Federal Directorate of Education

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has approved the up-gradation of the posts of all teachers, including PTIs, working in BS-16 prior to 01-01-2011 under Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad to BS-17.

The up-gradation is in fulfilment of the announcement made by the Prime Minister on the occasion of Salam Teachers Day on November 8, 2010. The newly up-graded posts in BS-17 have been re-designated as Secondary School Teachers (SST). Teachers have thanked the Prime Minister for the provision of better pay and service conditions to the teachers.
