Prime Minister Sharif Advocates for Strategic Conflict Resolution and Regional Connectivity

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for strategic approaches to conflict resolution and the enhancement of regional connectivity during a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Ambassador Kairat Sarybay.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to addressing the underlying causes of regional conflicts and pursuing preventive strategies to ensure sustainable peace and prosperity. As a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan aims to contribute actively to global peace and security initiatives.

During the discussions, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s support for CICA’s goals of fostering regional cooperation and bolstering security and stability in Asia through confidence-building measures. He also praised CICA’s efforts in promoting regional connectivity, a key element in Pakistan’s strategy to enhance economic and security ties across Asia.
