Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Advocates for Multilateralism at Pakistan-China Business Event

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of multilateralism and international cooperation at the Pakistan-China Friendship and Business event. He praised China’s collaborative approach and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif lauded President Xi Jinping’s vision of a Shared Future for Mankind and related global initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Security Initiative. He highlighted the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economic strategy and a testament to the robust bilateral cooperation that promises to deepen further in the coming years.

The Prime Minister encouraged Chinese investors to explore the diverse opportunities in Pakistan, facilitated by the newly established Special Investment Facilitation Council, aiming to streamline processes for international investors. He called for practical cooperation in sectors such as mining, ICT, and agriculture, reinforcing the potential for mutual benefits and shared development.
