Lahore: In a speech today commemorating National Minority Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the integral role of minorities in fostering Pakistan’s stability, progress, and prosperity. He assured comprehensive protections and equal opportunities for minorities in accordance with the nation’s Constitution.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif spoke passionately about the constitutional guarantees for minority rights and reiterated his commitment to upholding these rights as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He pledged to implement all necessary measures to safeguard these communities within Pakistani society.

During his address, the Prime Minister also acknowledged the significant contributions of minorities in various sectors including education, health, business, and defense, underscoring their vital presence across the fabric of national development.
