Islamabad, In an effort to establish the Digital Media Authority, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has initiated a special committee aimed at reaching a political consensus on the relevant bill.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar announced the formation of the committee at a news conference in Islamabad. The committee will be convened by the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, and will include Federal Ministers for Information and Broadcasting, Law and Justice, Interior, and the Minister of State for Information Technology, Shazza Fatima Khawaja.
Tarar also mentioned that parliamentary party leaders from the Pakistan People’s Party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, and other coalition parties would nominate representatives to participate in the committee.
