Prime Minister Visits Dasu, Kohistan to Express Solidarity with Chinese Engineers

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has traveled to Dasu in the Kohistan district, where he is set to meet with engineers and workers from a Chinese company involved in the Dasu Dam project. This visit comes in the wake of a recent terrorist attack targeting Chinese nationals in Bisham.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister is accompanied by the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong. During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif intends to express his condolences and solidarity with the Chinese engineers and workers affected by the tragic incident in Bisham. In response to the attack, he has issued directives for the immediate implementation of measures to enhance the security for Chinese nationals working in Pakistan.

The engagement with the engineers and workers will also provide an opportunity for the Prime Minister to discuss the ongoing cooperation and ensure the continued safety of international workers contributing to Pakistan’s infrastructure projects. This visit underscores the importance of the Dasu Dam project and the strength of the Pakistan-China partnership, especially in times of adversity.
