Provincial Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani Reflects on Pakistan Defense Day, Commemorates 1965 War Sacrifices

Quetta: Provincial Irrigation Minister and People’s Party Central Committee member Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani highlighted the significance of Pakistan Defense Day, observed annually on September 6, as a time to renew national resolve and commemorate the sacrifices made during the 1965 war with India. The minister emphasized the historical importance of the day when Pakistani forces thwarted an Indian military aggression, leading to a significant defeat for the enemy.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Mir Sadiq Imrani recounted the events of September 6, 1965, when Indian forces crossed the international border near Lahore without prior notice. This act of aggression prompted an immediate and robust response from the Pakistani army, which effectively halted the advance of Indian troops. The minister praised the Pakistani military for its bravery, professional performance, and determination, which played a crucial role in defending the nation’s sovereignty.

Mir Sadiq Imrani further stated that the unity and spirit of the Pakistani people and army were instrumental in overcoming the enemy.
