Radio Pakistan organising a national poetry contest

Islamabad, November 01, 2012 (PPI-OT): Radio Pakistan is organizing a national poetry contest‚ ‘Harf Humaray Teray Naam’ to pay tributes to valiant child activist‚ Malala Yousafzai. The contest is being held in Urdu‚ English‚ and all regional languages‚ Punjabi‚ Pashto‚ Seraiki‚ Sindhi‚ and Balochi.

Those who want to pay tribute to this daughter of nation can contribute their poetry in any genre till November 8. A panel of experts will adjudge the poetry attributed to Malala Yousafzai‚ who was targeted by terrorists for advocating equal right of girls to acquire education. Poetry can be sent by post to ‘Malala Kay Nam’ P. O. Box No 2010‚ Radio Pakistan Islamabad or emailed to malala@radio.gov.pk. Prizes will be given to three best contributors in every language.
