Islamabad, December 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): A delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) led by its President Dr. Shimail Daud Arain called on President Mamnoon Hussain at the Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
The delegation included among others Malik Shahid Saleem, Mr. Muhammad Alam Chughtai, Mr. Manzoor Khurshid Shaikh, Mohammad Shabir, Mr. Sohail Altaf, Mr. S.M. Naseem, Mr. Muhammad Munir Mughal and Mr. Mohammad Hafeez Ahmed.
The President while highlighting the vital role of business community in the country’s development said that entrepreneurs and business community are invaluable asset of the country and any meaningful economic development is not possible without their enterprise, cooperation and active input in the formulation of economic policies.
He said that Government was undertaking all possible initiatives to improve security situation in the country and to restore the confidence of the businessmen and investors so as to generate robust economic activity in the country and to put Pakistan’s economy on the path of sustainable growth.
The President urged the business community to complement government’s efforts and play their active role in accelerating the pace of economic development. He called upon the business community of the country to come forward and suggest concrete measures to the government to augment economic growth and development.
President RCCI, Dr. Shimail Daud Arain thanked the President for meeting and assured that Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue making its positive contributions towards national economy.
