Roof Collapse in Mansehra Injures Child Amid Heavy Rainfall

Mansehra: A tragic incident occurred in the Pakhwal area of Mansehra on August 11, 2024, where a child was injured due to the collapse of a roof amid intense rainfall. The roof collapse highlights the ongoing struggles faced by residents in regions prone to severe monsoon weather.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the injured is a 12-year-old boy, son of Sameer Zia, a resident of Pakhwal. The incident was a direct result of the structural failure caused by the sustained heavy rainfall in the area, which has been affecting large parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The local authorities have responded to the incident, and emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene to assist the injured child. This event underscores the critical need for enhanced structural safety and emergency preparedness in regions vulnerable to monsoon impacts.
