Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Convenes in Peshawar for Ramazan Moon Sighting

Peshawar, The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, responsible for announcing the commencement of the Islamic month of Ramazan, is scheduled to meet today in Peshawar for the moon sighting of Ramazan 1445 Hijri. This significant event marks the beginning of a month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims around the world.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting will be chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. In addition to the central committee’s gathering, zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will also hold meetings at their respective locations to observe the crescent moon, which signals the start of Ramazan. The collaborative effort across various committees underscores the importance of this occasion in the Islamic calendar and the commitment to ensuring a unified start date for the holy month across the country.
