Saudi Arabia Signals Strong Interest in Pakistan’s Economic Sectors

Islamabad, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has announced that Saudi Arabia is keenly interested in Pakistan’s economy, highlighting ongoing discussions for joint ventures and collaboration in multiple sectors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a press conference that included Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Khan expressed the government’s commitment to enhancing business opportunities as a strategic direction for economic development. Plans for a Pakistani delegation’s visit to Saudi Arabia were also mentioned to advance towards the implementation phase of these collaborations.

Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik voiced confidence that the Pak-Saudi collaboration would boost Pakistan’s economy and create new job opportunities. He noted the establishment of dedicated desks by Saudi companies to facilitate dialogue and potential partnerships with Pakistani companies. Malik also shared his optimism about imminent business and investment deals expected to arise from business-to-business sessions at the investment conference. He highlighted that over 100 Pakistani companies are currently negotiating across various sectors, including agriculture, mining, human resources, energy, chemicals, maritime, IT, religious tourism, telecom, aviation, construction, water, and power generation.
